Chartered in 1968, the La Crosse-Winona section of the American Chemical Society covers a tri-state area of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. With the the Mississippi River running through the local section territory, we are primarily rural with the towns of La Crosse, Winona and Decorah offering 5 colleges and universities and a modest chemical industry. The La Crosse-Winona local section is a small local section with a total membership of about 100.
